ALI = comes from Arabic عَلِيّ It is related to Hebrew ELI עֵלִי
These words are related and mean variously “high”, “elevated”, “lofty”, “sublime”, “champion”, “elite”, “lord”.
PASHA is a composite of PATI and SHAH, as in PADISHAH. PATI پاتی “lord” XSHAY کشی “to rule”
Sāmoan: ALI’I = “chief”, “noble”, “lord”, “king”
PATI = to clap one’s hands together; to smite one’s hands together in grief. Picture if you will a lord issuing an order and clapping his hands as a signal to attention and gesture of command, as in “so let it be done”.
